The Nano-Drive™ is the complete electronic package for subnanometer positioning. The Nano-Drive™ includes a low noise, low drift amplifier, position sensing circuitry, bandwidth selection, and closed loop feedback. The Nano-Drive™ is offered with either an analog or digital interface and available in one, two, or three axis versions.
The control loop bandwidth can be selected manually for 3 settings 200 Hz, 50 Hz or 5 Hz. We offer a digital bandwidth option for digital control. A front panel BNC is used for the analog input. The sensor position signal (BNC) and High voltage output (BNC) signal divided by 10 are also available on the front panel.
In the standard configuration, the Proportional-Integral feedback and sensor circuits are configured so that a 0V input corresponds to zero displacement and a 10V input corresponds to the maximum displacement. Closed loop feedback ensures that the displacement, as a function of input voltage, is highly linear and repeatable. The closed loop feedback system also eliminates the positioning errors due to creep and hysteresis in the piezoactuator. Input voltage range options are also available (call).
The front panel size for a single axis Nano-Drive™ is a standard 19" half rack (3.5" x8.4") and the front panel size for the two and three axis versions is a standard 19" full rack. |
